Back at it

It has been a long time since my last blog post but some of you have been following me on Facebook. This year I haven’t had the time to ride as much, footy kept me busy this season and Pop helped my family move house so we haven’t been able to get together so much. The last few weeks we have been back at the track and I still really enjoy it. This week we went to an extra session and tried motor pacing it was fun but hard keeping up with the adults. On October 24 Pop & I are taking part in Erin & Sodas Big Bike Ride to support Breakthrough Mental Health. We will ride in the 100km group. Thanks to Chris McDermott at the Little Hero’s Foundation I got an exemption to ride as l am not over 18 years old. The ride will start in the city then go through Outer Harbour and back to the city, up Norton Summit to Mt Lofty and back to the City again. Pop & I haven’t ridden up Norton Summit before so today we did to see what it was like. We got up okay, I am always worried about climbing hills that I haven’t done before but it was fine. If anyone wants to make a donation to Breakthrough the link is on my Facebook page. We will have to get some more hard rides in the next couple of weeks so that we can keep up with the other riders. Thanks to Brad at Bicycle Centre Goolwa for helping me out with some new glasses.
