My 2020

What an exciting year I have had, it may not be a surprise too many of you but with all of the things I have experienced this year my number one highlight was my little cousins being born. The feeling of crossing the finish line that Mum drew with chalk on the ground at the Adelaide Oval was just fantastic, although COVID-19 forcing us to change our plans the whole experience was something I will remember forever. All of the support and raising over $8000 for Little Hero’s Foundation was great, thanks to everyone who helped. It was pretty cool being interviewed and being on 10 news. The day we completed our Longest Ride, 240kms in one day was hard work but also unforgettable. A special thanks to Peter for being our Safety Car Driver for both of those rides. Together Pop and I have many rides together this year in all sorts of weather and have had great fun clocking up over 6500kms. I am really enjoying Track Cycling and being involved at the Port Adelaide Cycling Club.

In 2021 I look forward to being in year 4 and moving into our new house. Pop and I have a few challenges that we have set ourselves on the road but won’t be planning anything to big or to far in advance until the Covid situation is better, we will just take things as they come. I have set myself a goal that I would like to get under or as close to 17 seconds as I can in the flying 200 before the end of the track season.

In 2020 I have learned that sometimes plans have to change even when you have worked really hard to do something. I also have learned that no matter how old you are if you work hard give it a go nothing is too hard. Below are some of my favourite pictures from 2020.
