We were up and away early this morning to complete my second challenge, Blakeview to Clare. It was a bit cold and the roads were really wet, the bikes got super grubby today! So from Blakeview, Along the bike track we went through Angle Vale and then headed to Two Wells, through to Mallala. Just before Angle Vale there was fog covering the paddocks, it looked really cool. Mallala to Balaklava was a good run today, not much traffic, a nice hot drink was waiting for us at a cafe there. 17 kms along the road to Blyth we hit the 100km mark and I was excited to see that we had done our fastest 100kms, in 3 hours 31 minutes. A short rest break in Blyth before tackling the hills which slowed us down getting up to Clare. Just as we arrived in Clare I got a flat tyre, the first for ages. We had lunch and satisfied that we had completed another challenge, we decided to push on a bit further. Pop phoned Nan and asked her to pick us up in Auburn. So after we had eaten lunch we took the Riesling trail to Auburn. Thanks whoever set today’s challenge, your donation to Little Heroes is much appreciated.
Today’s stats 161kms 6 hours 23 minutes
