Last day of our ride! This morning we left Nan & Pop’s and drive up to Nairne where we finished yesterday. A bit cold in the hills this morning when we arrived, Peter was already there waiting with my Aunty Meg. A good little ride through Littlehampton onto Balhannah where a long time follower, Yvonne (Nan’s cousin) was waiting to cheer us through. The next 8 kms or so was a bit hard with the hill climbs, usually Pop & I don’t use 1st gear hardly ever but we had to today. We pushed into Uraidla where Mum & Dad were waiting with morning tea. Mr Shepherd & his friend on their motor bikes rode in front with Peter behind on the final leg into Adelaide. Coming down Old Norton Summit Road was fun but my hands were sore from continuous breaking. We flew down Magill Road, into town, along the Torrens, then I spotted the Adelaide Oval, our final destination. A very small group of our family cheered us to the finish line at the Oval. Such a great feeling to complete our ride even though we had to skip a bit of our planned route in Victoria and couldn’t have the big finish we planned. Tomorrow we will do a wrap up blog but this is definitely not the end of our riding adventures
Today’s stats 42kms 1 hour 47minutes

Well done Riley. I know that feeling of elation as you see the end in sight, the sudden realisation that you have achieved the goal. Your life will be the better for the lessons you are learning now. Discipline, determination and self control.
