Travelling Team

Riley – Rider

Riley is in Year 3 at Virginia Primary School and is an enthusiastic, hard-working student. Riley enjoys playing football for the Virginia Rams and barracks for the Port Adelaide football club in the AFL. Any sport that is on offer to watch or play is Riley’s favourite activity. Riley and Pop have enjoyed riding together since Riley was a little tacker.

Paul – Team Captain & Co-rider

Paul, Riley’s Pop, works as a Product Manager in the Blind/Awning division at HVG Fabrics. When not working, Paul enjoys riding his bike or unicycle and tinkering in his shed. When Riley was 4 years old he had his first big ride with Pop about 20km from Blakeview to Virgina on his 16” BMX and since then together they have covered many kms and had some great adventures.

Amy – Marketing

Amy, Riley’s Mum, is a busy working mum of 3 young children. She works as a Customer Service Coordinator at ICL. Amy enjoys camping trips with her family and friends and going to the gym. Amy together with Sandy has worked hard to secure our sponsors and now is working on getting donations for Little Heroes Foundation.

Joel – Security Officer

Joel, Riley’s Dad, is a truck driver and father of 3. He has recently begun competing in Strong Man competitions. Joel also enjoys camping and fishing. Joel will assist Peter to keep us all safe and hopefully without any incidents on our trip.

Sandy – Social Media

Sandy, Riley’s Nan, loves to have all the family over for dinner and spending time with her grandchildren. She has an interest in all types of technology and likes to have all the latest gadgets. Sandy will keep you all updated on our social media during our trip.

Peter – Safety Officer

Peter is the founder and Managing director of ICL. He is also a keen cyclist and has been a volunteer at the Athelstone CFS for 44 years. Peter will be driving our safety car and helping with bike maintenance. We have known Peter for over 25 years and are grateful that he his taking time out of his busy life to help us out.


Non-Travelling Team

Meg – Media Consultant

Meg, Riley’s Aunty, is busy running her small business Meg Shepherd Designs and working as a volunteer at the Adelaide Hills Visitor Information Centre in Hahndorf. Family history and local history are some of Meg’s passions. Always only a phone call or email away, Meg’s help has been invaluable when we have needed help with logos, the blog and FaceBook issues.

Jan – LHF Coordinator

Jan has worked as a volunteer at Little Heroes Foundation for 7 years. Her main role is Administration Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator. Jan has been our main contact at LHF, we have benefited from her many years of experience with fundraising.

Toby – Cheer Squad

Toby, Riley’s brother, is in Year 1. He enjoys music, video games and playing with his mates.

Dakota – Cheer Squad

Dakota, Riley’s sister, is in Kindy. She enjoys dancing, dressing up and being the princess of the family.
