A quick Sunday ride

What an amazing change in the weather today…coldest January day on record, just 16 degrees. Pop and I decided to do a quick Sunday afternoon ride from my place at Virginia. We went through Angle Vale onto the Stuart O’Grady bike trail to the top of the RAAF base then headed back home. Perfect conditions for riding, not too much wind which meant a good pace today we pushed hard towards the end to get an average speed of 26.2 kmph our quickest over 50 km. Pop goes back to work tomorrow so we’ll be back to doing some evening and weekend rides for a couple of weeks. Things are really coming together for the big ride now. We caught up with Jan from Little Heroes on Friday and confirmed some dates and fund raising ideas. We are also beginning to book our accommodation for the trip.

Today’s stats 61.5kms 2 hrs 21 mins
