Football season is over and after a break last weekend Pop and I were ready for a big day. Pop arrived early at my place this morning and Mum made us a nice breakfast the weather wasn’t great it was cold, windy and a bit of rain when we left Virginia. We headed to the bike track and made our way to Hampstead Gardens where we were lucky to find Mr Shepherd and enjoyed a hot drink and a snack. Then we made our way into the City and followed the River Torrens down to Glenelg. In Glenelg we stopped and had fish & chips for lunch and then back on the road following the coast to Larges North. We made our way home through Wingfield, Parafield Gardens and on to the bike track. We were almost home when I noticed that my computer said 166 kms so I asked Pop if we could take some back streets to round up our distance. It rained a bit when we left home in the morning and also just as we were getting home. Pop and I were both a bit worn out when we finished but it was a good ride and we were pleased with our longest ride yet. Good average speed today considering the wind, 21.4kmh.
Today’s stats 170kms 7 hours 57 minutes
