Today we played the last football game of the season in Lochiel it was also my last game in under 8s next year I will be in the under 11 team. When footy finished Pop and I had lunch at the oval and then headed off for 10kms on the main Highway and then turned off at Nantawarra through to Balaklava at this stage we had a tail wind and were making good time up hill and then the fun of going down hill we reached 59.6 kmph. Not far out of Balaklava the wind had changed and was coming into our faces it was a struggle. We stopped in Mallala desperately hoping the shop would be open so we could get a hot chocolate it was and we were ready for a rest. It was a strong head wind all the way back to Virginia via Germantown Road. Germantown Road is gravel for about 15 kms as we discovered but there was no traffic. It was a tough ride today.
