Feeling Good

This morning we left Blakeview early just as it was becoming light and I was feeling way more confident on my road bike after last weeks ride. We headed off into the wind with a plan to get to Hampstead Gardens in time to meet at Church for breakfast. On the way we took a slight detour so we could avoid traffic. After a good breakfast we then headed towards The Parade in Norwood we rode past many cafes where cyclists were having coffee. No time for us to stop again, that’s ok cause I am too young for coffee. When we almost reach the city we began heading back to Blakeview. We followed the city to Levels bike trail to Mawson Lakes keeping us away from traffic then Main roads back with a tail wind. Our morning ride was 4hours and 15 minutes 75 km’s. We were ready for lunch and a rest before heading out again to try and complete 100 km’s in a day for the first time. So rested and fed we headed down to the Stuart O’Grady bike track and towards Port Wakefield Road and turned around and back up to the top of Craigmore Road. Afternoon ride 1 hour and 40 minutes 32 km’s.

Today’s total 5 hours 55 minutes 107 km’s. How do I feel? My legs are feeling a bit numb but I feel happy with the result. The good news today no punctures the bad news is that we road past 5 McDonalds and never stopped at any of them.

    When I saw you were doing this, I wasn’t surprised at all. When I was your PE teacher, you always put in so much effort during every lesson and did your absolute best at all times. I’m looking forward to reading more updates. I miss you!
